A tragic firing incident took place near Kashmiri Bazaar on Morra Road in Murree, where unidentified assailants opened fire on a father and son. As a result, a man identified as Abdul Rahim lost his life on the spot, while his son Junaid sustained injuries.
According to details shared by Murree correspondent Arsalan Ayaz, the unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 10:00 AM. The victims were reportedly targeted by unknown attackers who suddenly opened fire.
Possible Motive Linked to Recent FIR
An important development in the case suggests a possible motive behind the attack. Just a day prior to the incident, Abdul Rahim’s motorcycle had been stolen. He had filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the local police station regarding the theft.
Authorities suspect that the firing may be linked to this FIR, although no official confirmation has been made yet. The investigation is still in its early stages, and law enforcement agencies are working to determine the exact cause and identify the attackers.
Injured Son Under Treatment
Junaid, the injured son, was immediately shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. His condition has not yet been officially disclosed.

Following the incident, a wave of fear and panic has spread throughout the area. Residents of the locality are concerned about their safety as police continue their investigation.
